"My room was very cozy and super clean. I have traveled around Asia recently and stayed in a number of budget hotels and this hotel was one of the best. Clean and modern. I took a room without a window (to save money) and I just ran my air conditioner every once in awhile - it worked perfectly. There is a very nice and large lounge area, as well, so you can go there if you want to with your laptop and do work. It was very easy for me to get to this hotel from Shanghai Station - I walked....

"The location is the best. Just outside the Walking street and near the metro station. Very convenient. Clean and well maintained. They will give you pillow cases, blankets and slippers. I was hoping for a towel too but that is fine, i just need to but a disposable one. I am not really into hostels bacause I can’t move freely inside the rooms as it may disturb your other roommates BUT that is expected on hostels and I don’t take that against my score. Overall recommended if you are on a budget...

"I booked through Expedia in New Zealand. Arrived in Shanghai at the hotel, there was no reservation made. Expedia have been paid but not booked the hotel. The online support is a contradiction to the word support. I had to rebook at the hotel. The messages left with Expedia AI have not been replied to. Expedia, to most people this is known as a scam. Please be resposible and return the payment I made to you."

"Hele lieve mensen, alleen is dit geen hostel maar een plek waar Chinezen op een kluitje wonen op zoek naar een baan. Niemand spreekt Engels. Het is zeker een manier om te ontdekken hoe het merendeel van de Chinezen in Shanghai leven. "In the 'real' Shanghai beneath the high-rise buildings, seeing people as they go about their day, back from main roads. AC was a it strong, especially in the bathroom. Staff are friendly and helpful, especially Tao and May. Some maps/brochures/helpful tourist information would be good. I would recommend this place to anyone."
