"Nov 2024 - This is a very old pub, persevered very well and in keeping with it's original historic 656 year old design. Great food and drink selection and wonderful staff. With that in mind, it is a pub, and therefore very noisy until around 12am later at weekends. As it's old it's also very creaky, so expect to here residents walking to and from the bathroom / toilets. The rooms are what you'd expect in keeping with an old building and a little cold in winter. "Lovely apartment clean and well layed out, but to have a microwave hob and oven I feel it should have pots and pans and cooking utensils. There is a tv mounted on the wall but no aerial lead so you could only get on demand programs. Coffee tea and sugar was provided. This is a new complex ( about a month old )and I understand that it’s still needs refining "

"I felt unsafe staying here as a lone female traveller and would not recommend it to anyone travelling alone - the only think that made me feel better was barricading the door with the chair in the room as the lock was loose "

A slept in bed, dirty sheets, one towel, a vile shared bathroom, questionable communal areas, people loitering in hallways repeatedly trying bedroom doors, poor lighting, dirty and stained carpets and the area around the property is badly lit and seems generally unsafe. Poor contact from owners with an air of contempt when contacting them to gain access to the property because they hadn’t sent passcode details for the main access door. "Pleasant 25 min walk from the NEC. Fab host, decent breakfast included."

"Lesley and Tim were wonderful hosts and very friendly. Car parking was easy. Location good although we didn’t have the chance to explore as we were meeting friends for a Christmas lunch the next day. Room was nice and warm and the bed comfortable. The room was in need of an update but it didn’t worry us "

"The folk at the Fox couldn't be more helpful and they love dogs. Our two had the best time while we were there and I'm sure will want to go back as soon as possible The room was large and clean and well stocked. All in all, a great stay and a big thanks to everyone"
