"When we travel, we’re usually not in our hotel room very much. That said, this property is beautiful and the staff makes you feel at home and cared for. We’re a family of three traveling with an 18-month old, and a little kindness goes a long way. For example, we had a room key break off in the lock and the staff resolved it within 20 minutes and then called for some additional maintenance just because they noticed, not because we asked. It’s not a huge thing, but it helps! Otherwise, the place is conveniently located for accessing nearby sites (Arenal and Fortuna Falls, especially). The food in the attached restaurant is good, but maybe a little more expensive than similar options nearby. You pay for convenience. All in all, we really enjoyed our time at Rancho Cerro Azul. "
