"This is absolutely amazing hotel. The open air private hot spring is beautiful, it is remarkable view. The staff is welcoming and friendly, the room has spectacular maple leaves view! The location is very private and quiet. This is a very pleasant relaxation stay. "

"I had a pleasant experience with extremely friendly staff and perfect dinner and breakfast. The indoor and outdoor hot springs in the guest rooms are clean and provide a great view of downtown Yufuin and Mt. Yufu. I was disappointed that the weather on the day I visited was a bit bad, but that definitely makes me want to visit Toshoan again next time."

"Quiet location just a short walk from the train station. Superb ryokan experience with modern amenities throughout. If you’re fortunate enough to get a room with a private onsen, you can enjoy all manner of luxury beyond the available public onsen facilities. "Comfortable stay at Baien resort and walking distance 10 mins to the lake and shopping trip. Took a taxi from Yufuin station and cost JPY800. We enjoyed our stroll and admiring the autum foliage while walking out to the lake. It has 2 nice private onsens and 1 separate public onsen for male and female. Dinner and breakfast were delicious, staff are friendly. Recommended and enjoyable stay. "

"Terrible staff service. I stayed there for 4 nights because I just didn’t want to move my belongings but seemed like the more you stay, the more terrible they are. I don’t know do they have bias only for me or not but I felt it is. As I noticed the guest who only stayed 1 night or short time, They are very welcome and doing good service. From my opinion I pay money more. Either I stayed only 1 night but I also need fairness not bias. "
