"We had a fantastic stay here! The staff Alex and the team, were super friendly and had even planned daily group activities. We ordered the dinner set and it was incredible! We were able to get a ride to and from the train station, which was greatly appreciated. I would recommend giving them a call if you need to (we just used a payphone) as there was issues with sending messages on this website. "I can say this is by far the best accommodation I have lived in during my numerous holidays all these years. I can honestly live there for at least a month. It's just such a cute double story villa with amazing views outside and it feels like a home. It's got everything you need and all the space you want. Great for even a family. "I loved the onsen options in Hoteiya. All the shared onsens are private and has different layouts for you to experience. The onsens in the room are also the perfect size and temperature. Huge kudos to the staff for being super attentive and providing detailed explanation of the property and for providing the right size clothing. Absolutely would return if I ever came back to Kyushu."

Enjoyable stay.

"Comfortable stay at Baien resort and walking distance 10 mins to the lake and shopping trip. Took a taxi from Yufuin station and cost JPY800. We enjoyed our stroll and admiring the autum foliage while walking out to the lake. It has 2 nice private onsens and 1 separate public onsen for male and female. Dinner and breakfast were delicious, staff are friendly. Recommended and enjoyable stay. "

"Nice property just off the main street, near train station. It is pet friendly with 3 resident cats roaming around the lobby. You get to book 2 sessions at the baths after checked in, the semi open bath on the 2nd level is popular, while the rooftop bath may not be a good idea in cold weather although the view is great. You get free use of the bicycles for your stay. There is no lift so you have to carry your luggages up and down the stairs."

"Quiet location just a short walk from the train station. Superb ryokan experience with modern amenities throughout. If you’re fortunate enough to get a room with a private onsen, you can enjoy all manner of luxury beyond the available public onsen facilities. A great option to spoil yourself, if even for a night or two. "
