Ajisai is a ryokan or traditional Japanese inn tatami-matted rooms, futons and private onsens or natural hot springs. "The water had a wierd smell, the onsen was boiling hot to the point where we couldn't tolerate it, and the food was not good. All 3 of us got food poisoning from the "traditional Japanese breakfast " they served"

The private onsens are in outstanding condition, the public onsens are great although not as good. The breakfast was excellent with several Japanese and western dishes. The place is close enough to the train station to walk but far enough so that the noise of the town does not bother. "

"I really appreciate the staff's help with my special requests, professionalism and friendliness. The cherry blossom tree above at least the men's part of the outdoor bath was a nice touch, as was the free breakfast. The hotel facilities look quite new too. My nitpick is that there were no nearby restaurants open for dinner at the time of my trip, so I ate at other places before returning here."
