"We stayed in one of the Matai lodges and it was fantastic. Very comfortable stay and close to town. Staff were wonderful and welcoming and gave us a complimentary hot tub hour for our honeymoon. "

"We spent a very comfortable night in a converted railway carriage which was quirky and a lot of fun. The carriage had pretty much everything you could require including a claw foot bath and a fabulous view of the distant snow covered mountains. Breakfast was provided and was served in the main building. A couple of things do need attention though, firstly the Wi-Fi signal which was too weak to function efficiently and secondly there was a broken window pane above the bed. "

"The home is basic but clean and was great for our group of 5 people. Just one block to the main shopping/restaurant area and 2-3 blocks to the lake. Would recommend if you are spending time in Milford Sound and aren't high maintenance. "
