"Very convenient for the railway station as it is directly across the road. This is an older hotel with older furnishings and a positively antique elevator. The hotel seems to have many English guests and, perhaps as a result, my room had a kettle which is not common in Swiss hotels. My room was larger than many rooms in Swiss hotels but, although described on the website as having a "bath" it had a shower with no bath tub and a shower curtain which clung to me while I took a shower. "Very convenient location for bus and train from Locarno train station. Just opposite to the train station. Easy to find. Lift to all floors, good breakfast. Newly renovated bathroom. Easy to walk to the lake, funicular, boat and nearby shopping area."

"The property was clean but it was old. All the furniture and appliances were maybe over 30 years and it was like staying in the 1950. But my wife liked the breakfast. The staff were great and helpful. But the hotel itself needed renovation."
