"My room was adjacent to nearby smoke stacks. When I commented that the smoke was in my room, the front desk said “oh, that’s because it’s cold.” I didn’t think smoke in a room should be dismissed. I found front-desk staff to be abrupt and not helpful. The Kahler is very convenient- but as long as I’m able to walk- I’d consider other hotels in the future."

"Always staying here when visiting Mayo Clinic. And always will. Nice surprise to have breakfast back after COVID-19 impacting services worldwide. Connected through subway walks with clinic buildings and with Methodist Hospital. No matter what weather is, no need for wearing a coat."

"We stayed in Mary’s Room (as my wife is named Mary!). It was perfect! Richard and David were excellent hosts. Very accommodating and gave us a warm welcome and send off. Wine when we arrived (welcome after a long days driving!) and sherry at bed time! Very relaxing and the house is magnificent. Highly recommend!"

"Other than having long discussion about my service dog ( no payment for service dogs, they should know that you CANNOT ASK QUESTIONS ABOUT SERVICE DOG - PERIOD ! ), front desk was friendly. Breakfast ? Well, I do like donuts but that was the only thing they offered for breakfast. Not counting cereal :) Otherwise room was clean, smell nice, comfy bed. Water in bathroom sink run rusty so they should check the pipes. "
