"The hotel was undergoing renovation. Rooms are very small and the bolt on the door was not working (which cannot even be raised when you are a solo traveler). The breakfast staff were a bit rude, for instance trying to have me relocate where I was seated for breakfast because I was close to where the staff were talking to each other. The room was clean and in a convenient location. The gentleman at the front desk was very helpful and brought me tea when I was under the weather. "

"Good value for its price. We had a private room for 2, overall quite clean and decent bed (albeit a bit hard and really low/flat pillows). The one actual negative I had is that the sound isolation from outside noice (such as the 6am garbage truck) is truly awful. One of our windows was sagging and unable to fully close, and the blinds were stuck too. Would be a solid 5/5 stars of they fixed the issue above and of they had a few more comfortable beds."

"Was visiting my daughter at the Pepperdine Campus Villa and the location of the hotel is perfect. It is literally around the corner from the villa. Nice .8 walk to the city center. Pharmacy, and a couple of delicious restaurants just down the block. The common area was wonderful to sit and relax to visit with friends and and staff is very attentive. "The staff at this hotel was wonderful; they were very accommodating. My complaint would be that it was kind of loud with furniture moving. I'm not sure what was going on with this. Also, we were upgraded but charged for the upgrade. I would have thought this was free, as we are VIP Expedia members. "
