"Ah, the Surf Inn in San Francisco—a place where the walls whisper secrets of yesteryears, and the floors hold onto memories (and perhaps a few mysterious stains) from decades past. Our stay was nothing short of an adventure in olfactory endurance and structural resilience. Upon entering our room, we were greeted by a symphony of creaks and groans from the floorboards, as if they were sharing their life stories with every step we took. The aroma was a complex bouquet reminiscent of a forgotten gym bag left in a damp basement—truly, a scent that grows on you after a while. The bathroom fixtures had a charming patina of rust, giving them a vintage appeal that transported us back to simpler times when functionality was optional. The showerhead, with its unpredictable water pressure, turned our morning rinse into a thrilling game of “Guess the Temperature.” As self-proclaimed connoisseurs of the broken and the stinky, we felt right at home. The Surf Inn didn’t just accommodate our quirks; it celebrated them. It was as if the universe had designed this place with us in mind—a sanctuary for those who find beauty in imperfection and humor in the musty corners of life. We must confess, however, to a minor transgression during our stay. In a moment of gastronomic rebellion, we indulged in a feast of a questionable pasta salad. The aftermath was a series of unintended emissions that violated the sanctity of our no-smoking room.To the housekeeping staff we extend our sincerest sorry."

"The Argonaut was true to its theme and a great place for families or those with dogs. It’s at the end of Fisherman’s Warf which is nice because you can walk to everything, are close to the beach and are just far enough away from the louder area."
