"I wish I did a little more research before booking. This lodge used to be a hostel and still seems more like a hostel than lodge. It would be perfect if I wasn’t traveling with a toddler who wants to get into everything. Location is about a five minute drive from the beach. We saw a ton of deer. It’s a little ways to the shipwreck and lighthouse. Great for trail access. Overall, if you’re traveling with small children or folks who overheat easily, maybe not the best place. "We needed a place with a good kitchen to cook for Thanksgiving, and Robert's place was perfect. The kitchen was amazingly well equipped, the views were spectacular, and the couch and TV made for great football watching. Robert was a charming host and very communicative. And obviously, a great location. "

"Lovely spot to relax in right on the beach, views of varied beach acivies: walking, surfing, kites, jogging — and for surfers, you are right there! Park Side Cafe has really upgraded, superb bakery, excellent chef. Breakers Cafe also very good. Bookstore and library close at hand, and Mt. Tam is just across thge street with world class coastal view trails and redwoods. Stinson Beacch Market is well-stocked — including fresh vegetables — and has friendly staff members. "
