"This was most interesting stay on my Costa Rica vacation, a somewhat quirky but comfortable beach hotel. My room was clean, spacious, the AC was working well, and the poolside room helped make it pretty quiet (a beach bar was across the street playing music). The bathroom had a jacuzzi style tub with a hand shower, no standup shower which I much prefer. There is no light or switch by the bed, so my cellphone served as a temporary nightlight. "As I said above, the hotel needs a huge face lift. Bedrooms need paint, new beds, new furniture, new bathrooms, new light fixtures, ESPECIALLY new doors and locks, outside lighting, ordered parking, a better pool, more lights in the surrounding areas, landscaping, new restaurant, even some new employees would be a nice addition to some unfriendly waitresses...Even improving the breakfast choices with one or two more things can help. The area where the hotel is located is horrible (I mean it),...
