Farmstay in Puntarenas Province

"This was our second stop in Costa Rica. The resort is very comfortable and clearly tailored for American visitors. While you don’t quite get the authentic Costa Rican vibe, everything is well-organised and convenient. We’re from Europe, so the atmosphere felt a bit different to us. The staff were all very kind and welcoming. Our biggest issue was with the kids’ club. It’s not really a traditional kids’ club – they offer kids’ activities three or four times a day, each lasting around 30 minutes. To be clear, I wasn’t looking to leave my daughter there all day, but it was a bit frustrating that we constantly had to check when the activity ended. Once, the staff member even walked her back to us by hand after the session went a bit over time – my husband had stepped away to take a quick call as the 30 minutes had already passed. It felt a bit awkward. That said, the kids’ club staff were lovely. I believe they were simply following the guidelines set by management."

"Friendly staff, excellent breakfast, lovely location and pool. Plenty of opportunities to enjoy antics of monkeys around the pool in the evenings. Steps could use a little more lighting at night and area can get a little noisy at night. Special shout out to Moses who went out of his way to engage and serve guests!"

"Gorgeous property, felt like luxury in the middle of the jungle. Our room was great - the shower is nice & gives you the option to open the sliding window & look at nature while you shower. We are not usually pool users but we loved the pools at Gaia & used them everyday. The drinks & food were above average & all of the staff were exceptional - patient & kind to us, remembering my husband & I by name. The hotel offers a free tour by the Macaw reserve & through the forest with Clarence - what a lovely guide & experience! The transportation to & from your room is via golf cart - this was no issue but something to be aware of. Overall a wonderful experience - would stay again in a heartbeat."
