"Fabulous staff, very kind and helpful. The breakfasts were great and we had a wonderful dinner at the on-site restaurant. It's a 10 - 15 minute walk into the Monteverde Cloud Forest. It wasn't a problem for us, but there are some steep ramps getting to some of the rooms and from the road to the parking lot. If you have mobility issues, be sure to check with the staff about options."

"We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Cerró Lodge. The staff were amazing and made sure that we enjoyed our time. They booked us on a bird and crocodile tour on the Rio Tárcoles that I would certainly recommend. The pizza we had for dinner was delicious. Rooms very clean and comfortable. The surroundings are beautiful and peaceful. I look forward to visiting again!"

"Amazing landscape, must have a 4x4 to get there. On the negative side, hotel have no inhouse amenities, beside breakfast no food or drinking coverage during the day, low quality of linen and towels, nice but cold swimming pool and no flexibility for late check out despite being Expedia Platinum "

"Very difficult to get to - hour and a half of bumpy roads to Carate, then a 3.5k hike. The logistics were not well communicated, but worked out fine. Hot (mid-April visit). The grounds are pretty special with spider monkeys frolicking in the trees right above the tents and ocean waves supplying 24-7 white noise. The guided hike into the National Park was underwhelming - the wildlife was superb, but you only skirt the periphery of the park and don't get to really explore the old growth. "

"We loved, loved, loved this place. The room was fantastic and having an open air bathroom was such an unusual treat. We got to see monkeys from our porch as well as many other creatures on the night tour. The food was also fantastic. If we lived closer we would certainly visit again. "

"Am Ortseingang gelegen, dadurch ruhig, tolle Aussicht über die Bucht, überdachte Dusche im Freien - sehr schön! Strand direkt vor der Unterkunft, dort wird man zu Touren abgeholt. Freundlicher Gastgeber! Etwas steile Anfahrt mit dem Auto, aber machbar. "

"The property itself had a nice view but there was garbage around the property. Walkway to property for pedestrians was a hanging bridge, if your scared of heights you’ll have to walk the long way around. The tile at the start of the bridge on the property side was slippery, myself & others almost fell. Was an okay experience overall. "

"Bosque del Cabo is a destination in itself. Overlooking the Pacific and Gulf on the Osa Peninsula it is beautifully maintained, wildlife are all around, trails are rugged and moderate, and the staff could not be more personal and helpful. Meals are delicious We had menu choices for breakfast and lunch; dinner was a communal buffet with many options. There are cookies out and cocktail appetizers. Our cabin was perfect-a thatched spacious casita with a large bathroom and lovely outdoor garden...

"Beautiful place with fabulous staff willing to do ANYTHING to make your experience better. Expedia does not tell you it is insanely difficult to drive to and near impossible without 4 wheel drive. That's really essential information and a massive failure on their part. The reason the property doesn't have parking is that nobody drives there. They don't even have a sign on the road. "We had a beautiful view of the serene coast. We saw numerous animals just from our window and deck--more from the dining area!! The meals were out of this world--delicious, more than enough, great presentation, variety. We swam daily at the picturesque "private' beach. Ideal location with hiking trails abound! "What an amazing place!!!! My husband and i absolutely loved everything about this property from the friendliness of the staff, amazing drinks and bartenders, the gorgeous pool and views, the lush flora and fauna, its within walking distance to so many restaurants, and the abundance of wildlife. We saw so many monkeys on site which was wonderful given the park was closed because of the bad weather. We stayed in the sunrise ocean view room and loved waking up to that amazing view. My only complaint is we didn’t stay long enough. We will definitely stay here again when we return to CR. "

"Everything about Camino Verde B&B was top notch! Diego and his team at the front desk were super friendly and very helpful. The breakfast staff were friendly and provided fast service. You had a choice of five different breakfast combos that would suffice all diet types. Rooms were very comfortable and clean. We would definitely recommend a stay here!"

A hotel in a natural paradise

"The staff were super friendly, breakfast delicious (especially the breakfast burritos) cocktails amazing in the Yolo bar and the loaded nachos too. The best thing was the way the place is built in a rain forest. The plants were amazing and I saw monkeys, a sloth with a baby, a humming bird, butterflies, ants. Really great. I hope to be back oneday."

"From check in you are met with friendly staff. The resort is very clean and nice. Room was amazing with the walk up pool. Very quiet at the room. The restaurants on site were amazing and tasty. Pools on site are very nice. Walking the beach at sunrise and sunset is a must. The adventure park the hotel recommends is a must as well. "
