"Perfect location and great classical building"

"What we liked is that this was a real neighborhood, not just a tourist area. It was an easy walk from the main train station connecting to Lisbon. the hotel itself is spanking brand new and the bed was big and comfortable. Also less than two blocks away was an amazing local bakery (Chicana) which was amazingly cheap for that quality of pastries, bread and coffee. Their English is limited, but you will be fine. "A good size room, with large bath & shower, large comfortable bed, room on 1st floor - no noise, very good breakfast - great selection/options, all staff very helpful, very well equipped gym to accommodate all levels/needs. Good location for transport/train to airport. The restaurant meals however...very small portions (pasta dish) +50% for an average size portion. "

"This small boutique hotel has rooms right on the Douro River. The view was amazing! Located in the historic old town, it was convenient to walk everywhere. The room and bathroom were large and roomy, and the bed and linens were comfortable. Breakfast included was very good, with many fresh fruits, breads, and eggs to order."
