"The breakfast was fabulous. The dining room has a fabulous view of the ocean and sunrise. The room and bed were very comfortable . Our deck was facing the bay, and was quite relaxing . The general theme of the hotel reflects the maritime days, which is wonderful. It is indeed a Grand Hotel! Would recommend and return. "

"Although this was more than walking distance from city of Ponta Delgada it still was close enough to drive, bus, etc. There were shopping and dining options in and near the hotel. Staff at front desk and bar were great, and we enjoyed it here for our last day before our flight, and drove to city after check out before we flew home in the afternoon."

"Certainly could improve on the dull breakfast items and maybe move the coffee machine ( self help) where it is not so congested. Property is very beautiful and staff is outstanding and very helpful."

"Beautiful hotel. Perfect location with easy walking access to all. The town with restaurants you can walk to as well. The room was clean and had all the amenities we needed. the room has an air conditioning unit. Very nice balcony overlooking the beautiful garden, just outside the room. The lobby and room is Nicely updated and attractive looking. It was a quiet. It had a nice looking pool, jacuzzi, and gym although we didnt use them. The area is safe and the building is quiet as well. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Plenty parking spots in the attached covered garage, although its and extra 9 Euros a day. The staff was friendly and helpful. We also left our camera in the room by accident and they said they would mail it to us! What great service! We would definitely stay here again."

"This is our second stay at Gaivota Hotel with my family. We love the location, size of the apartment for our family with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a beautiful balcony facing the marina. All the staff is very professional, accommodating and friendly. We will definitely come back. "
