"This was called an ecolodge because it does not use bug spray and has no hot water. It was way overpriced for a hostel and did not meet hotel standards, when booking you had to book 2 nights minimum, non refundable. We were expected to supply our own towels which we did not know. The owner graciously provided us with towels. The owner was pleasant and provided us a place to stay with our dog which is uncommon for Costa Rican hotels. We sincerely thank her for that. "The property andthe room were very clean. This hotel is obviously very family friendly but the noise level from 8 AM until 11 PM is quite substantial especially with a pool front room. The dining room area was not super clean and the food was average. But decent. The location is excellent across from the beach, but the locals love to gather across the road for beach access so it’s definitely not very private.
