"This was called an ecolodge because it does not use bug spray and has no hot water. It was way overpriced for a hostel and did not meet hotel standards, when booking you had to book 2 nights minimum, non refundable. We were expected to supply our own towels which we did not know. The owner graciously provided us with towels. The owner was pleasant and provided us a place to stay with our dog which is uncommon for Costa Rican hotels. We sincerely thank her for that. "I came to have a relaxing weekend to myself to work on some projects and it was perfect. I loved looking at the beach while getting some work done. So much nature. The breakfast was good, I liked the tico breakfast best. I came early and still received my room before the listed time. The hot tub in the room was nice. The only thing was the shower was not always hot. Sometimes I had to wait an hour or two for hot water. Enjoyed this place and would come back "
