"Celebrating a birthday with sons and their families. Plenty of room to spread out, play games, watch a movie or even find a quiet spot to read and enjoy the spectacular view of the lake. We had a bald eagle flying whilst at breakfast and deer just the other side of fence. 12 wild turkeys were wandering up the road as we walked down to the lake. Rather a nice workout after lunch. "Had a wonderful stay at the Shangri-La Mountain Retreat! Not a stretch to say one of the best stocked rental homes ever I've ever booked. We stayed two nights with three families including kids ranging from 2-12 years old. Everything you could ask for was available for cooking in the kitchen with more than enough glasses and tableware in excellent condition. "We decided to stay here to celebrate my mom's 76th birthday. There were 6 of us with plenty of room for more. The place was quant, quiet and just want we needed for a long weekend. The cabin was close to Julian but far enough away that you felt the quiet that nature has to offer. Amazing sunsets and loads of turkeys to entertain us all, especially the dogs! Melisa was a great host and made us feel very welcome. I'd definitely recommend her place and will stay here again"
