"Amazing ryokan stay in the heart of Kyoto; there’s a public bath you can try which is traditional and fun way to shower / bathe. When you check in they pour you tea and give you traditional sweet; they then go through breakfast times; breakfast in the room is amazing and must try. The set up of the beds was also done seamlessly and everyone was super courteous and polite - thank you for a great stay! "

"This ryokan exceed all expectations . The two owners of the house, a couple, were the sweetest people. Super helpful and they knew english. The rooms were so cool in traditional style and the public bath was cool to see. I will say personally i found the beds to be a bit too firm, but my travel companions thought they were better than some hotel beds. So it is just personal preference but i’d stay here again. "This is our first time staying at ryokan style hotel and we love this hotel. It is not the best looking interior (lobby and hallways) but the accommodation and experience will make your stay great. They even have a small sento at the basement for the guests. They offer breakfast but we didn’t have it because we usually leave before the breakfast was served. Other things we like is it is very close to public transportation, both bus and trains. Restaurants and convenient stores are just few steps...
