"Although the room appeared small for 4 travellers with luggage it was perfectly big enough. The futons were extremely comfortable but wish I had more pillows. "This is a very traditional ryokan experience and I had a wonderful time!!! I stayed 2 nights after some time in Tokyo and the vibes were immaculate. Upon arrival you take off your shoes and are greeted, given a tour of the place, escorted to your assigned room, and then given a welcome matcha! They serve you a traditional Japanese breakfast that differs every morning (you book this in advance when you arrive) The bath/shower area is shared but you have to reserve a time slot to utilize it...

"The hospitality here was on another level, staff was so sweet and lovely. Anytime we came in or out of the ryokan, they would help us take out/put away our shoes. And when we left, the staff walked us out and waited until we were out of sight to go back in! I would def come back for a longer stay next time"

"A very nice place to stay for vacation. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room is very spacious and clean. Just walk one block to the bus station and two block to the subway station. The buses are reaching to the temples and Kyoto station. No need to transfer. Very convenient."
