"We had a great experience staying at Yumotokan. The dinner was exceptional (very filling!) and the rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable. The variety of onsen baths was great, each one unique and beautiful. The futon beds were comfortable and the hotel was quiet. Loved our stay and would highly recommend to other travellers hoping for a ryokan experience that isn’t breaking the bank! "

"I can only say good things about this ryokan. Everyone was very nice and accommodating. They cleaned the rooms daily. They offer razors, toothbrush, and a couple other things for a very small fee which i did not mind paying for at all because theyre trying to encourage people to bring their own to eliminate waste and with the amount of convenience stores nearby you could always pick one up there if you dont want to buy one of theirs. "Hospitality was 10/10, the rooms were lovely and the private onset was everything I hoped for. The public baths offered a hot/cold tub and sauna in addition to the onsets themselves. "

"Staff was over the top friendly and helpful. They allowed us to store our bags before and after check in/check out so that we could go explore Kyoto without having to haul our stuff around. They were also very helpful to help us acquire a taxi big enough for 6 and provide local restaurant recommendations. We were on the road side and so the rooms had quite a bit of traffic noise, but other than that everything was great. "
