"This is the second time I have stayed here visiting family. Overall nice property but there was an issue with guests from Mainland China. They were loud, drunk, rude, and made thenstay less enjoyable. This hotel should review it's travel partners and better vet the groups coming in. The area is good but too many Gaijin tourists who are ruining Kyoto with there boorish behavior. I feel sorry for the locals."

"Staff was very helpful and responsive. Very accommodating to our needs. We appreciate how the staff went out and beyond to make our stay much better. Only a 18min walk to Nijo castle and 10 min walk to Nijo Station."

"Loved this hotel. The location is somewhat off the beaten path, but it was quiet, safe, well-appointed and central. Bus and taxi transportation is really easy in Kyoto, so not being as close to a train station wasn't a big deal. We had a very nice stay and would stay again."

"Room was nice and clean but the street light was too bright to sleep at night. The sound from outside was quite loud at night. Stayed 2 nights, towels and tea was replaced but used tea cups were not. Maybe we supposed to wash ourselves? Not a big deal, overall we were happy with our stay😊"
