"This resort is no longer open, however we were not notified by E prior to arriving onsite after booking well in advance. Luckily the staff were very nice and explained the situation, but we had to make last minute accommodations to stay elsewhere which was not fun after a long day of traveling. Lesson learned: either book directly or confirm bookings outside of Expedia since their notification system is not reliable."

"The location, the ambiance and peacefulness exceeded my expectations a hundred fold! But what truly made the stay so fantastic was how my wife and I were treated like ohana! "My family of 4 loved this rustic home. The property is gorgeous and we loved all the frogs, birds and sounds of nature. It’s secluded and private, but not too far from all the sights of the island. Plenty of drinking water was provided, as well as all other kitchen and bath amenities to make our stay comfortable. The screened in porch was a perfect hangout. Linda was a great host and easy to communicate with. Would definitely stay here again!"

"Dawn has a lovely property within reasonable driving distance to Hilo, Volcano National Park, and beaches. If you read the description of the property and the reviews, you will not be surprised. Everything you need is there and you get a chance to interact with nature and fellow travelers. For a reasonably priced place to stay in the area, this property checks all the boxes. "
