The fire alarm and evacuaiton seemed a bit excessive for someone having caused smoke 3 floors below us but we respect the need to be safe than sorry. I was mostly surprised to hear the fire department was there long before the alarm and evacuation order. Seems a bit odd they would delay in making the decision. The biggest issue we faced was when the thermostat’s battery died, and the temp was stuck at 62. The host reached out very quickly and began working to help me fix the issue, even though it was late on Friday night. They even ordered a second space heater to make sure we were warm enough.
