"Very good room with sea view. Food was also very tasty. Only problem is that dining room faces west and isfully glazed from floor to ceiling. As we were lucky to have a cloudless sky (despite a biting cold wind) dining at 6pm meant that the sun was too hot. I think fitted blinds are needed"

"From arrival to departure. we have found a lovely Hotel. thank you all the staff. Arrived early morning. parked the car. went for a walk from behind the hotel along the river then the Canal to the sea and back . then into the room and then a swim and Sauna. at night into the town which was not far. we will stay again. "

"Friendly and polite staff from reception to bar/restaurant to housekeeping. Beautiful decor giving all public areas a sense of comfortable style and an upmarket but ´ at home ´ feeling. Rooms were spacious enough and bathrooms clean and well maintained. The only tiny niggle was the dinner menu which wasn’t hugely inspiring (mainly in the starter area) and also the pie which, although filling was absolutely delicious, was not encased in pastry but also the pastry topper was bit stodgy and not flaky puff pastry. As I say a tiny thing but when coming up North from London you look forward to an excellent pie. The other mains were excellent and all were piping hot. Breakfast was also fine, nicely cooked full breakfast and lots of choice for cereals, yogurt and toast, although didn’t see any croissants, as was on the menu. We visited as a large family group, overall a wonderful stay and all have said we would stay here again. Thanks Crooklands. "

"Really lovely place to stay, lodge had all basic necessities (plus more) and was relatively clean, I would definitely come back again for the price we paid it was an absolute bargain, reception staff were very friendly also and checking in was straightforward! "

All the staff were absolutely amazing and went above and beyond and the hotel itself is absolutely beautiful with the best views of Lake Windermere 😍 Thank you for an amazing stay Love from The Parr’s xx Just want to add we’ve been coming to Bowness for around 15 years to celebrate my birthday weekend but this was the first time staying at Belsfield as it’s also our 20th year of being Married (August). We have always admired it from afar and have stayed in surrounding accommodations but this weekend has blown all the accommodations out of the water. We have had the best weekend ever.
