"Was nervous reading the reviews and then staying here. Was a very easy place to stay despite the reviews. Remember... this is rated as a 2 star hotel. If your expectation is a 4+ star hotel, your price will be a lot different too. The staff was great. Had everything I needed and very friendly. The hallways had slight marijuana smell but after the first night of running the ac unit, it wasn't noticeable coming out of the hallway. Room was clean. Bathroom was good. "Gated parking and contactless check-in/out was good. My door needed service, however, as it was difficult to lock and open. Also, my door was open when I checked in. Not sure if the staff had trouble with it like I did during my stay. Besides those easily fixable things, I liked this place and would use it again next time I'm in town. "

"My husband and I stayed for our 25th Wedding Anniversary. The staff was amazing and the hotel is everything you want from an old world, New Orleans experience. The location is perfect for a week walking and exploring the Quarter. Close to amazing restaurants and shopping, do not skip the roof top pool! It is heated and the view is incredible. It is not a modern monstrosity of steal and cement. It is a beautiful and historical building. "

"the room was nothing special. It had no fridge and the bathroom space was small. The staff was absolutely wonderful! They kept the property feeling safe. They were attentive to your needs whether it was opening a door or giving directions and suggestions. Walgreens was 2 doors down and there were many amazing restaurants within a few block. Because of the staff and great location I would definitely stay there again. "
