"the staff and food is amazing, the property condition - 8 years old a little worn, but beautiful. Kind of like having your own little private getaway. Once you walk out side the front doors it is a different world, it is a very old city. We enjoyed the local stores, vendors and food. lots of Yucatan food dishes, MUST HAVE PANUCHOS!! Uber everywhere here... cheap. We stayed 9 days and they were filled with adventure. To get the most out of your trip, do lots of research on things to do "

"The hotel is right in the heart of the city. Just a few blocks in any direction will keep you busy day and night. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. They go out of their way to provide good service. The hotel is obviously old, but that is part of its’ charm. It is historic and culturally grand, and they keep it in decent condition. But if you are looking for modern perfection, then go stay at the Hilton. I prefer to be where the people treat you like you are part of the family."

"This is a comfortable no frills hotel, right in the heart of the action in Merida, the only downside was no coffee or breakfast. Salvation came in the form of Marago coffee at Hotel Merida c.60 & 57."

"It’s an old construction, beautiful, that needs some repairs … also, they need to add new towels … to make us feel more comfortable or just bring your own like I did for myself ! Other than that, it makes you feel safe and the staff is very helpful in case any problems! I will stay again for sure!!! "
