"The house is in a nice quiet location but is close to the town. The house is well-equipped with most things that you need for a week; could do with a bit of updating and more crockery/cutlery but it met our needs. Comfortable beds and good shower. It was good to have BBQ, heatpump, outdoor seating, car port, dishwasher and washing line which not always available in other baches. We had a good week of weather in Te Anau and enjoyed our stay. "

"This was a great spot for our time in Te Anau. We used it as home base to explore the region (hiking, Milford Sound, etc.). Location is hard to beat - very close to the lakeshore, business district, city park, Fiordland DOC Visitor Center and multiple very good restaurants (Ditto, Redcliff, Miles Better Pies). "There were numerous things that were misleading about this property on booking. The major issue being the 4th double bedroom was downstairs in the garage. Exposed to the cold, far away from others in the house and we were unable to use it as a bedroom which made sleeping arrangements difficult as a party of 8 (2 families). Another inconvenience for our travels was the washing machine was not working. When we called Bachcare they said they knew about this and therefore had not listed a washing...

"Such a great place to relax and chillout for a week. Great views across the lake and to the mountains, particularly from the spa which was such a treat. It was great having the wood fire which we used a couple of times. Loved that it was close to Queenstown and far from the maddening tourists. Loved the fresh herbs to cook with. Definitely recommend to all and we have booked in again for 2025."

It was a step back to 60/70s which suited our family perfectly, lots of memories of our Grandfathers home which made it extra special. A few things that needed support with and the management team where quick and efficient it didn't effect our stay at all. "
