"The house is in a nice quiet location but is close to the town. The house is well-equipped with most things that you need for a week; could do with a bit of updating and more crockery/cutlery but it met our needs. Comfortable beds and good shower. It was good to have BBQ, heatpump, outdoor seating, car port, dishwasher and washing line which not always available in other baches. We had a good week of weather in Te Anau and enjoyed our stay. "

"This was a great spot for our time in Te Anau. We used it as home base to explore the region (hiking, Milford Sound, etc.). Location is hard to beat - very close to the lakeshore, business district, city park, Fiordland DOC Visitor Center and multiple very good restaurants (Ditto, Redcliff, Miles Better Pies). "We loved this quirky, personality-packed property. It's centrally located, spotlessly clean and has a brand new bathroom. The kitchen is well-equipped and I imagine it would be a lovely, cosy house in winter as there is an open fire. Highly recommended!"

"Located overlooking the lake, we enjoyed the view and the town. It was a great stay, clean, warm, with the necessities. Owners were very helpful and kind. "

"The views from the property are stunning, garden is lovely and kitchen good. A few minor things wrong which where communicated to the company but no response. It sleeps 15, but lounge, dining and outside can only cope with 8. TV room is rubbish and sofas uncomfortable and cheap, really needs a tv in lounge and master bedroom. However the views trump all of these issues "

"Te Anau was a cute little town. Enjoyed the downtown area for dinner. This house served as a great location for us to stay for spending 2 days in Milford Sound with our 2 kids and inlaws. Lawn and bushes needed upkeep. This made us a little worried when we pulled in. But the inside was spacious and comfortable."

"The view was lovely. It was expensive, no internet, no heating unless you wanted to start a fire, a fire hazard in the bathroom in the form of a heater. It was hard wired and very old. Bare globes in overhead lighting and on the wall for reading. My top blanket had a huge blob of something and clearly needed washing."

"Everything about this place was lovely. Clean, tidy and very comfortable bed! Nice to have the outside furniture to sit at too as the weather was great on two days. A couple of things I felt the owner could consider was some kind of light over bathroom mirror as very dark for putting on makeup and a blind over bathroom window. Even though it’s opaque you feel exposed with light on. 😜 these are additions though and would only enhance an already lovely place. Would definitely stay here again"

"The property is located behind a residence so the lake is not visible from the house. The beds were comfortable with a split bedroom arrangement offering some privacy for parents with children. We did not use the stove but the fridge and microwave were in good working order. The location was convenient to restaurants and the grocery. "The property had the feel of an old family home that no-one had lived in for many, many years. The stove top wouldn't heat any of the pans, the oven smoked A LOT the one time we tried to use it probably because there were no baking dishes/pans so the inside was filthy, the pantry was full of expired food, and there were pots in the cupboard with an inch of water in the bottom. "Our hosts, Clinton and Vindy were lovely people and we enjoyed our stay very much. Some guests might not like the fact that you could not look the doors. 2 double beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean."

"Really lovely motel. May not be the largest we have been in but definitely worth a visit. Really clean facilities. Large and comfortable bed. Quiet so no disturbance at night. Bathroom shower was great and provided toiletries. Good towels. Easy parking outside room. Folder with local menus in. Helpful reception staff. "

"We were very impressed with this property. The staff was friendly, the room was immaculate. The amenities included soap for the washer/dryer and bath toiletries. The small kitchen had all new appliances, cookware, toaster, coffee maker and teapot. The shower was fantastic! What stood out for us were the two very comfortable lounge chairs. It may sound silly, but we have stayed in 5 star hotels all over the world and the chairs in the hotel rooms were uncomfortable at best"
