"This is a beautiful historic hotel. Mustafa Ataturk stayed at this hotel as did many world known celebrities. The hotel had preserved the rooms that Ataturk used and now show them as a museum. The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. They always answer with a smile. Can’t say enough good things about this hotel. "

"GLK Acropol staff was very kind and helpful throughout our stay in Istanbul, especially Mustafa and Emre. Hussein at reception was helpful in arranging the Bosphorus Cruise for us as well as transfer back to IST on our departure day. Although the hotel is a bit old, the management has kept it well maintained. The location of the hotel is phenomenal, however do keep in mind there several bars on this street, if you sleep in early be aware it can be some what noisy at night. "

We were unable to unpack our suitcases due to lack of space. If you are staying for 2 or 3 days, you will be fine. "A quiet sanctuary a short stroll away from the key sights of the old town.Perfectly located behind the Aghia Sofia mosque. Attentive front desk and waiting staff. Authentic Ottoman dining experience in hotel restaurant. Complimentary breakfast. Early morning call to prayer from the mosque quite audible but wasn't a problem for us. "The staff were absolutely amazing. They even gave their istkart to my friend during the duration of the trip which was very much appreciated! The room was relatively clean, as were the linen and towels. Location was very good, right in front of the tram spot and walkable to the Sultanahmet area. The rooms next to us were smoking which was coming through the vents - not nice at all. The beds creaked and the mattresses were poor, soft and sunk."
