"The hotel is older than others and the rooms are not renovated - but the staff were really nice and showed me a few rooms until I was ok - I did pay a small upgrade- but the area is not great - I had an ok stay for 2 nights but would not go back. "

"Have to use your room card to call lift on ground floor-good for security but a bit of a faff. Bedroom and bathroom were clean but note on thermostat said filter needed changing and it looked black. I didn't need towels or bed changing but think rooms could be checked to see if milk and teabags etc need topping up. Breakfast was very good. Plenty of cereals, fruit, cheese, ham. Bacon, sausage, scrambled egg and hash browns were hot and replenished quickly unlike alot of places"

"It’s a beautiful property with an excellent, buzzing space downstairs which didn’t disrupt us late into the evening. The rooms are finished to a great standard. My only problem was that the television had a weak signal and there was no access to apps like iPlayer - which is not very important, but I think nowadays people expect catch-up tv if there’s a big lovely television at the end of their bed.
