"This little hotel was really outstanding. Very clean, excellent service, wifi worked well. Great location overlooking the lake. Underground parking was tight but very manageable. We had to leave early on the day of departure so they even went out their way to set up some breakfast for us specifically. A bit of a walk to Malcesine itself - would recommend the bus or driving rather than walking. Bus stop is a few mins walk from the hotel and buses are frequent."

"Only stayed for one night enroute to Tuscany but it was just lovely. The staff were very friendly, helpful and attentive. Although the kitchen had closed we were offered some lite bites, which were perfect, as was our table by the side of the lake. Before retiring we enjoyed a promenade along the lake and breakfast the following morning was plentiful - great omelettes. "

"Quite location with lake views and an Olive garden. The good sized room with Air conditioner and balcony. Nice breakfast starting at 0800. Early check in so was able to leave the luggage and wander. Secure garage for our motorcycle. Ideal. "

"Hotel Carullo is situated near the cable car in Malcesine. It is five minutes walk to the cobbled streets in the old part of the town and no more than a few more minutes to the lakeside. Lovely swimming pool and gardens to relax in. Plenty of sun loungers available. There was also a cabin selling drinks and ice creams by the pool, and there was also a gym . Staff very helpful. We had a large bedroom with a mountain view. Breakfast was good. "

"Rooms have outdated furnishings, this place is stuck in the 90s. No air-conditioning, close to unusable rooms during the summer months. Some of the parking is remote and not quite convenient. Decent breakfast and nice staff."

"The most disgusting, bug infested, dirty, run down “hotel” I’ve ever experienced. Every species of bugs you can think of almost. If you don’t like bugs, don’t come here. If you do like bugs, come here. I will dispute this, it was a nightmare from hell. I would not wish my worst enemy to come here. Bugs everywhere, wifi hardly works. Not close to the town, bad location. No taxis available either. Host is condescending and acts like bugs are acceptable. "
