They gave us a tour of their farm property and let us feed and play with their farm animals. We got to hear all about them and that was such a treat! "My wife and I stayed for four days. It was a bit difficult to find at first, but once we followed the directions, we had no issues. We had a great time relaxing and visiting some wineries and breweries. The bed and sofa were comfortable. The internet was a little slow, but that was expected. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back!"

"My husband and I took the weekend to get away and this was the perfect place. It is a trek up the mountain and worth it. Very clean and the hosts were friendly and approachable. Definitely recommend. Just be aware that the drive up is gravel road and at times steep. Best have AWD or 4 WD. "

"The cottage was very cute. It definitely could have been cleaner, as there were waxy lip prints on the bedroom window and a few dark smudges on the walls of the bedroom and bathroom. Also, it wasn’t made clear in the description that most of the one-lane, curvy road leading to the property was dirt/gravel. If it had been raining, it would have been pretty treacherous in a small car. My SUV handled it fine, but it did get very dirty. Overall, the property was quiet, comfortable and fairly well...

"We only had three days to pack in as much outside time as we could, and this lovely house was a perfect base. It was an easy drive to Shenandoah National Park, Harrisonburg and Grand Caverns. We cooked for ourselves and the kitchen had everything we needed. We grilled outside and had a lovely fire in the fire pit. Everything was wonderful!"

"Really cute property- very clean! We were participating at an event at a nearby winery, so we wanted a place to have our crockpot dinner and spend the night. The bonus was the tasting room for Merry Mill steps away! Love the staff, and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Once the tasting room closed, and we went back to the cottage, we enjoyed time on the back deck watching the sunset!"

"This little cottage was very clean and cozy. It is far off the road but close to a lot. A great location for Skyline drive. Good eats nearby. I would recommend an SUV, a sedan might bottom out on the road coming in. I gave 4 stars overall because of the latrine.. It is a compost toilet and there is an odor. The flies were bad because of this. Don’t plan to do a lot of cooking. Pots pans utensils were limited. We cooked steaks on the gri and our forks and knives bent trying to cut them. We have...

"The property was quite cozy, off the main road, and extremely peaceful. Sitting in the hot tub looking at stars was a great way to end the night. Located about 40 minutes from Lurray and a short drive to Massanutten leaves plenty of options for the whole family. The property seemed well maintained by the host and we felt welcome upon arrival. We will likely be back next year!"

"This was a great spot for a college reunion of 10 guys. We jump around from year to year, but are planning to come back here. We were all amazed at the construction of the main house and it's giant pine logs. (Suggestion: hire a professional photographer to represent the place better on this site.)
