"Property and hosts are superb!! We had a great time with a beautiful view. The sunrises were awesome. The drive in a little tricky but once in well worth it and after a time or two not bad at all. House was quiet and secluded. Very nice for time with my wife. We were 1/2 hour from the park, were treated very well and would highly recommend this property to anyone!! It was wonderful !!"

"We enjoyed the beautifully constructed home perched in the stunning fall landscape. Clean and equipped with all the necessities for a stay. Seeing the stars was a treat! We visited the area for Parents Weekend at UVA and it was a short drive. We hope to return to their special retreat!"

"Clean and quaint. Absolutely beautiful, easy check in and close to food. Be careful traveling at night: Roads are very dark and winding. If I ever go back, I would definitely stay here again."

We were within reasonable distance to some good hiking trails at Shenandoah National Park, restaurants, and breweries (Lafayette Inn & Restaurant/Fiorano/Elkton Bewing Co.)! "Our hiking trip to Shenandoah Nat park was unexpectedly enhanced by our stay at Birds and Bees cottage! What a lovely, comfortable place with amazing view of the Blue Ridge Mountains and acres of pastures. The turkeys and llamas were so interesting to watch. I particularly liked when the turkeys gobbled in unison! The owners were very nice and informative. Would definitely stay again and recommend."

"The little green house was conveniently located and easy to find. The house is older, but was tastefully and comfortably decorated. My biggest concern was the steps to enter the house. Although there are few stairs, the top one is quite steep. I use a walker and have tremendous difficulty climbing any stairs or walking any distance. I had so much trouble getting into the house, because of those steps. I was in pain and in tears; we considered just leaving. If you could make the front steps more...

"Everything is perfect! Clean rooms, comfortable beds and sofa, spacious kitchen with any tools you need, and a lovely game room. We enjoyed the hot tub and beautiful views. The host was also very nice and communicative. I would definitely recommend this place!"

"This tiny house was great for some alone time with your partner. The only downsides were, there was a coffee pot you could make coffee on the stove, but no coffee maker. Your are set out in the country some, so some insects are to be expected, but they mostly stayed on the first floor, there was a decent amount of ants in the kitchen (windows were rustic, so they were coming in there) we just kept any food in the fridge. The handle on the tub is broken off, and we found it weird that already...

"Although set on a farm, the property is close to all of the sites and activities near Charlottesville. The property is an old farmhouse with modern amenities. The owner is next store and is very responsive, but never intrusive. After a day visiting Monticello and a day of hiking, our return to the property was relaxing. The two bedrooms are large and the entire home is nicely appointed. We would definitely return. "

"Our 2nd stay was wonderful, especially with the fall foliage! Lake had plenty of little fish to catch too Our daughter goes to UVA and this is a perfect little getaway for her and for us! Close to campus for parents weekend. We went to a couple of wineries close by this time as well Very clean and all amenities you would need! Enjoyed the fire pit every night! Thank you! "
