"An amazing and unique traditional stay in a small town outside of Kyoto. It is secluded and we were still able travel to Kyoto, Nara, Osaka, and Kobe. Public transportation is provided multiple time every morning, and although I did a lot I highly recommend walking around the trails, and temples. My favorite temple was right behind the hotel, and it held amazing views and was not crowded at all. This was by far one of the coolest experiences i’ve had, and if you are looking for a traditional stay this place is it. They cater to whatever need you might have, and everyone is so nice. It is hard to put into words how much I enjoyed this experience!"

"Surprisingly I was given a huge room with 3 beds, kitchen and dining area so would be perfect for groups/family. I only stayed on my own so the room was too large for me, maybe the solo rooms became unavailable by the time I arrived but it was a wonderful stay. Very clean and modern, I would stay here again. The location was good with some cafes serving very good high quality matcha, convenience shop and station within a short walk. 10 mins walk you’ll find a beautiful bridge with a stream and more shops/restaurants plus the monkey park and bamboo forest. Highly recommend the Fu Fu No Yu Onsen."

"Staff went far beyond what we expected. Every single person was always accommodating and helpful. The room was magnificent. In hindsight I think a regular tub would have been enough. The huge ceramic outside tub was beautiful, but being from California and drought conditions I felt guilty filling up the huge tub every night. Also eloquent, but if you are seniors, or have any hip/back complaints, there were multiple stairs inside our room. Although shallow, two up at entry. Two down for living room and one up for futon area. We had breakfasts which were eloquently prepared. But beware that they are geared for the Japanese taste (as would/should be expected) so various fishes/seafood and vegetables maybe a bit foreign. Even the ‘western’ breakfast was not typical of the US. On the second morning we were served spaghetti with 2 kinds of fish, cold Japanese rolled eggs, and the ubiquitous salad, and of course rolls/bread. "
