"This is actually a Best Western property. It did not seem like one, however. It seems like a wonderful independent, small boutique hotel. The neighborhood is very safe with plenty of eating and shopping options. It is very walkable to all the major sights in historic Istanbul. Highly recommended for the price. "

"GLK Acropol staff was very kind and helpful throughout our stay in Istanbul, especially Mustafa and Emre. Hussein at reception was helpful in arranging the Bosphorus Cruise for us as well as transfer back to IST on our departure day. Although the hotel is a bit old, the management has kept it well maintained. The location of the hotel is phenomenal, however do keep in mind there several bars on this street, if you sleep in early be aware it can be some what noisy at night. "

"The hotel is a little dated but it was clean and comfortable for us. The beds were hard but that is how we prefer it. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location is a little out of the way from the tourist spots but the public tram system is right in front and very convenient."
