"I was most concerned when I saw reviews about lack of communication with the owner and a confusing check in process, because I've had a few negative experiences with that. Please be assured that the check in process was clear and smooth. The building is historic and has been through some things over the years, and it shows on the interior. "The main reason I came to NYC was to see some hockey games. One at Madison Square Garden. One at the UBS Arena. I was traveling alone. This lodging had great reviews. It's located in a safe area. The train station is about a mile away. There is a bus stop at the end of the street. UBS Arena is less then half a mile away. I arrived at night. It was easy to find the entrance. "Convenient location close to the subway. We appreciated having a little space and a table in the apartment, but spent most of our time out. Being in the city that never sleeps it was fairly loud in the bedrooms at the front of the property but got used to it after the first night. Some of the furnishings are a little tired but that was no problem for us. Victoria was really communicative and it was easy to check into the property."

"The apartment was cute and had most everything we needed. The host was resposive. However, the noise from outside was very loud. We experienced 4 am wake up sereral mornings from trash pick up. Car noise was constant. Loud music from outside and foot noise from the apartment above in the afternoons and evenings was distracting. We stayed for two weeks and we i stayed inside the apartment most days so the noise was bothersome. We didn't love the neighborhood except that is was within...
