The owner supplied firewood for the wood stove, and allowed for a late check out. I’d recommend this place to a friend or family member. The only issue we had was the smell of the cabin itself, mostly the blankets and pillows. We spent time deodorizing several areas and washing a bunch of blankets and pillows to get rid of the smell. "My mom, my wife, and I stayed there for 4 days. The description of "nestled" in the redwoods is accurate. It is a beautiful place to stay. The beds were comfortable and the amenities were perfect. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook full meals and eat there. A grocery store is only minutes away. It is conveniently located to access the Redwoods state park to the north and Avenue of the Giants to the south. The dining room table was big, allowing meals and games. (The closet is stocked...

"The property was perfect for our family of 6. It was fun to explore and the grill and outside seating were delightful in the evenings to sit out and stare at the stars and relax after a busy day. Came to visit our daughter in college and staying up in the tree's made it feel like a relaxing get away. Far enough away but close enough to everything we wanted to do and see. I would love to see the kitchen stocked with more condiments and spices, aside from that we were able to home cook some meals...

"Our host Andy thought of every detail! No need to bring or purchase minor conveniences. Fans are available in the bedrooms, there is a stocked Keurig coffee maker, tea bar, and plenty of items needed in the kitchen for a weeks stay. They even have laundry supplies, so you do not need to purchase anything but your food items. thank you for the hospitality Andy!"

"Very comfortable house. Old school hard wood floors, trim, and kitchen. Plenty of space. Walking distance to downtown square and campus. Really enjoyed staying here. Will def stay here again when visiting Arcata. "

"Excellent location, located on the Hammond Trail, very nice kitchen and appliances. Some kitchen equipment such as knives, salad bowl, salad spinner, electric hot water kettle, etc. are absent. Only 4 chairs around the dining room table, so if you have six people for dinner, two would have to stand. Overall very light on furniture. Excellent and highly responsive agent and owner. Great garage."

"Loved being close to campus. Nice park for doggie at the end of the street. Excellent appliances in kitchen. My only "needs improvement" was the yard...sadly, other visitors didn't bring dog poop bags."

"We loved all the windows, with views of the ocean. The firepit. The patio & furniture. The wrap around porch. The thoughtful items in the kitchen. Well stocked kitchen. Comfortable beds. Towels provided for the hot tub. NICE bath towels! NICE matching dishes! They weren't afraid someone was going to take anything home! The host was very friendly and available. Would like to return!"
