"Lovely room although a little conscious of walking around too much as the floor really creaks in places and I j own how annoying it is when you are the person staying below. A broken window has been poorly fixed with wood leaving a gap of around 7mm at the bottom. Had asked for a quiet room which it is until the birds start singing at 5 am."

"Hotel was easy to find and access, The Staff were all friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and clean. Drinking and dining areas were pleasant with a variety of seating options, service was pleasant and quick. Menu was/is interesting and varied and food was well cooked and presented. Good breakfasts too. We were there for two nights to attend a nearby event and can wholeheartedly recommend The Cocked Hat 😁"

"Great for a night’s stopover. Room was warm due to hot water coming through the large heating pipes that we had no control over. Radiator was completely off, but still a bit warm. Very comfy bed. Spacious room. Was surprised to see ironing board and iron in room. Breakfast was very nice indeed. Coffee not good though. All in all, served its purpose and would use again if in the area. "

"I enjoyed my stay at this hotel very much. As usual i found the mattress on the bed too hard and the duvet too heavy and hot. I always carry my own pillows and a spare throw so I was able to lay on the top on the duvet doubled over with my throw over the top which solved both problems. As this is the start of a season, might I suggest the sills between the secondary sliding windows and the opening windows be cleaned. It would give a better impression. "The location was great and perfect for our needs. The bedroom was large and in good condition. However, the bed and pillows were far too hard for us and the room was extremely hot. We did try to turn the heating down but this didn't seem possible. The food in the restaurant dinner and breakfast, was average. However, all of the staff were friendly."

"Perfect in every way. Room superb with all that u need. Comfy bed and very clean. Perfect location next to river basin. We ate at night which along with breakfast was faultless but from check in to check out the staff were awesome with genuine attention to detail. Will be back and will recommend "
