"The location of this hotel is unbeatable. The volcano crater is right at the back of the hotel. And it's one of the best spot to view the crater. You can view it from the lobby and dining room, or walk out for a more open view. One thing that makes staying here really great is that: you could only see the red lava when it's dark (and cold). So ppl stay late or come in really early to watch the sun rise. Staying here makes everything convenient. The food in the restaurant was actually not bad and reasonably priced given the location and view. (a delightful surprise). Breakfast was more pleasant since it was mostly the hotel guests so not crowded. Hotel facilities were old. But I didn't have high expectation so wasn't too disappointed. Staff were nice and always trying to help. The rooms have baseboard heating. Water was not hot enough for shower at 8. It got warmer at 10. That's the only critical complaint we had. "

"Great property for families with kids. Lots of amenities and options to fill your day. While it’s a 30 min drive from Kona, we preferred to stay in Waikoloa Village with the access to the various pools, salt water lagoon, watching dolphins, access to beach, kids club, etc. "

Awesome experience to live here, it is like live in home, and the room is well-decorated and clean. The host is so nice and if you need a ride to the airport, you can schedule with them. Also, they will prepared you breakfast between 6am to 9am. "

"Loved the sound of the falls. This place is actually a great value compared to other options in this part of the island especially because of the free breakfast and coffee/tra available throughout the day. They offer optional paid activities which are great and unique. Access is thru a very long, single lane road so best to arrive during the day. "
