"We enjoyed our room and the facilities, including the pool. However, we found the food was lacking in quality. Our room wasn't properly cleaned when we arrived (there was someone else's underwear on the floor and the mugs were not clean) and we had to ask the staff to clean it again. That being said, the staff were extremely helpful and kind. They definitely made the stay better. We apparently came during "off season" which made the whole area seem like a ghost town. We did find some good places...

"For the price of a hostel, this hotel was a comfortable and convenient choice. Breakfast included, the rooms were clean and the bed comfortable. Being and older building the noise from within the hotel can be quite loud but ear plugs will fix that. The toilet may talk to you during the night due to the older plumbing system. (sounds only)"

"First I would like to say the staff is extremely nice and helpful and they work hard to make you happy. Many meals are served and food variety is very rich. Our stay at Alisa Cruise was disappointing for two main reasons. First, the overall experience is extremely touristic and industrial. All activities they offer end up being very crowded as you do the same activities as at least another dozen boats. They took us to a beach which was so tiny and busy and we preferred going back to the tiny...

"I did the 1 night cruise and the whole experience was excellent. The administration (Anna) was very friendly and efficient and the logistics for the shuttle were clear. Once on board, the staff were very kind and attentive, the cabin was comfortable and the food was delicious. I enjoyed the excursions, particularly the caves and hiking. Would recommend to others. 5/5 "

"We hired the whole boat and that made it an even more magical experience! Halong bay was amazing, but the Aman Junk boat experience was amazing. Boat was a big run down, but staff were very accommodating and friendly. Meals were amazing. Only problem was Expedia advertised meals etc included but it was all extra!"
