"- The kitchen was very convenient and included most cooking equipment although the grill/microwave was a little difficult to understand - Amazing environment, quite lively at times but did not affect noise levels due to soundproof walls. "Location and view fantastic, however it's a shame that cleanliness wasn't as good. I didn't expect to have to clean plates etc before use, Also numerous cobwebs dotted around, dirty floors, unironed bedding. Not exactly a great first impression. Would I recommend? Definitely not!"

"Really lovely little hideaway in an amazing location, great communication from host. Inside had everything you need for a comfortable stay. They even left us some strawberries to enjoy. Great place fir a relaxing quiet get away"

"It’s a great place in a great location, I wish the parking restrictions were made clearer as we ended up paying an extra £50 to park in Sophia Gardens for 2 nights. I would definitely stay again I would just be sure to book the parking next time."

"Pleasant accommodation close to university, with cooking facilities Accommodation was clean , warm and had everything we needed for our stay. Only issue is no on site parking but parking in nearby streets is possible (payable and maximum 5 hours) with a larger NCP car park within 5 minutes walk Would stay there again and would recommend for a short stay. "

Brilliant stay, great hotel location

"This was our first time staying in a Mercure. The location was ideal for us, close to the centre but not too busy and more reasonable price. The lounge and bar downstairs was lovely. Nice Christmas decorations too. Check in was easy and efficient. Room was great, very clean, everything we needed. The layout, tv and bathroom felt more modern and slightly more high end compared to a Premier Inn. We will definitely stay at a Mercure again!"
