"This hotel was my favourite experience in Japan. The most striking feature is the view of Lake Kawaguchi upon entering the room. The room is also spacious and you are supplied with a yukata to wear inside the hotel. This adds to the experience of immersing yourself in the culture. The whole hotel can only be navigated in the supplied house slippers (shoes left in lobby). The parts that stood out to me was the food we had for breakfast and dinner (half-board). I always left too full to move!...

"Stayed here with husband and toddler (age 3.5 year old) for a night. We arrived at check in time (walked from bus station - about 10-15 min). A shuttle service was available but we decided to walk this time. Service from start to finish was amazing. The hotel was beautiful during the fall season. We stayed in the west wing. "Very isolated place especially after sunset at 430pm. Recommend for those who relax and rejuvenate traveler. . Not for people who want to see city at night because driving through the 2 forest is quite eerie"

"Post-card quality view of Mt. Fuji from the Fuji side. Brilliant. Also, Japanese style tatami mat rooms facing Mt. Fuji. The Western style rooms facing the lake are more comfortable but you miss the Mt. Fuji view."
