"I love the fact that this property was walkable to many restaurants and shops. It was also close to the local free bus service that quickly took us to the main attractions in the area. We might have walked to some, but one of us was in a walking boot, so having the free bus service was a huge bonus. The property was older, but that's part of the charm going to a city like Charleston. The hotel restaurant, Swamp Fox, was fantastic and the staff at the hotel and restaurant were all super friendly. The only drawbacks were the very tiny elevator leading from the valet/drop off area to the lobby for check in and the odd bathroom setup. Since it's an older hotel, the bathrooms were off; there wasn't much counterspace, our friend's room had two odd-shaped bathrooms and the shower heads were very low, which was not fun for one of the guys in our group who is 6.4. At the end of the day, those are just minor items and would not deter me from staying there again. "

"Great hotel! Only thing to be aware of is the type of room you book. We made the mistake of booking a very tiny room which wasn’t ideal for a 4 night/5 day stay. Other than that, really great hotel, ambiance and staff! Will be back!"

"What a great hotel! We've been on the road with our 8 month old son for a couple weeks. At other hotels, even if we splurged for a suite to get a little extra room for his pack n play, we had to turn the lights off once he went down to sleep. But the Church Street Inn truly felt like a home away from home. We were able to put our son down to sleep on the top floor and stay up watching TV and eating powdered donuts on the floor below. We were also able to sterilize his bottles in the kitchenette in the morning before departing. And the hotel is so centrally located to enjoy the best Charleston has to offer. Right beside the market. Restaurants all around. King Street shopping just two blocks away. We'll be talking about our stay at Church Street Inn for years. "

"Absolutely the best hotel in Charleston. Club level amenities are outstanding along with the service from Theresa and Dan and all of the staff. Food is great drinks are better. "
