First checkin the elevator for the entire building did not work and they had no intention of repairing it. I am disabled with my 85 year old mother and they put us on third floor with no elevator. The staff that checked me in was apathetic. Second room beds too soft. Third room beds really used up and insanely soft. Bath tub was painted and much of it peeled off. Made the room in look disgusting. No microwave even though I paid for a room with one. The problem here is the management and the front desk personnel. Housekeeping was perfect though. Laziness and apathy are thick here. After several stays here, I will no longer book this place but move to the Cambria Hotel nearby.

Bedbug or cockroach infestation in room. Needed to quarantine all personal effects upon returning home. Although clean, room was in barely adequate state of repair, and hotel's facilities are in obvious need of renovation.

This place is extremely dirty, dangerous, under repair, bad paint smell, unsafe, back entrance door kept unlocked, mold, extremely badly kept. Shouldn’t be renting to people.

There are 2 buildings to this property. The one you check in at and the one next door that has outside stairs - 3 levels. I was checked in very fast - rushed actually - handed my door card and sent me on my way. I had to go back out and when I returned, of course, I went to the main building 3rd floor. There wasn’t a room 361. I thought the wrong number was written down. Went to front desk to learn that I was actually in the next building. Who would have known? I had to lug my stuff back to the car and park at the next building, go up 3 flights of stairs to discover I had been out in a room that had been smoked in. I called the front desk from my cell phone (since the room phone didn’t work) 5 times. The last time I was out on hold and ended up hanging up and calling back. I told the new front desk person to just refund my money. By this time it was 11:45pm. I logged my stuff back down to the car and back over to the front desk. She found a room in the main building and moved me instead. By this time I was beyond frustrated. Proper training and communication is needed at their front desk. The room: it is an old hotel that has been updated with bedding and fresh paint. I don’t have any complaints except the ice machine didn’t work so I was back down 3 floors once again to get ice. It was quiet, clean, comfortable beds and pillows. Not a bad place but make sure you know which building they put you in because if you can’t do stairs you won’t want the “older” building

2 hotels in 1 - do not box exterior corridor. The main hotel is actuaaly ok. We had a lively big room, internet was good, bed was good so had a nice sleep. The bathroom could do with an update but was clean. Towels and toiletries were good. If you get an even numbered room you will have a view of the marina. The only thing that was negative was the girl on reception when we checked in. She looked like she really hated her job and would rather be anywhere else. Didnt wear a uniform bit her own red bomber jacket, was just really unprofessional. The following morning was a lovely guy/gal. Really good for the price and easy commute to the old town by taxi or drive

Here’s a possible review draft based on your feedback: Not the Best La Quinta This location is a bit dated and had an odd smell throughout. The breakfast was underwhelming—waffles didn’t cook properly, and the eggs tasted off. Overall, not the best experience compared to other La Quinta properties.
