"The TV in our room never worked properly. I told the front desk the first day and asked again. No one ever came to check the TV. It was out of focus. Also, the site advertised free breakfast and a pool; there was no breakfast at all… not even coffee in lobby and the pool was drained. The staff did not offer alternatives to breakfast even though there was a place attached to one part of the hotel. I thought it was closed. My room was clean but the stairs and outside was not swept and sloppy....

"The location and the price make this a very attractive hotel. It’s small and only two levels. Our room had the living space, which including a full kitchen, downstairs and the bedroom up, This hotel would be primo but the general maintenance/repair aesthetics are beyond poor. There were half patched holes in the wall without touchup paint covering the spackling, making the room look run down. On the upside, the staff was friendly and helpful. I’d highly recommend this hotel to anyone willing...

"I gave 4 stars for the property, because our first room was with a view of a wall. Our next balcony room was 5 star. We would go back. Great amenities. All the staff were wonderful. Breakfast, afternoon wine and cheese and cookies and milk at 8 were our favorite. Charleston is a beautiful town. Expedia made our room switch not so efficient, but the hotel staff took care of.
