"This resort is no longer open, however we were not notified by E prior to arriving onsite after booking well in advance. Luckily the staff were very nice and explained the situation, but we had to make last minute accommodations to stay elsewhere which was not fun after a long day of traveling. Lesson learned: either book directly or confirm bookings outside of Expedia since their notification system is not reliable."

"Great location halfway between Hilo and Volcano. The property is away from main road and quiet. It is fenced in so kids can run around safely. There is a lot for them to explore. Make sure you take rain boots for the kids. Each bedroom has a king size bed. You will hear the coqui frogs every night. We loved the location and our stay there. I wish there was a dishwasher in the kitchen."
