"The surrounding area is beautiful and the cottage was cozy. Staff was also very friendly. My only complaint is that we didn’t find out until entering our unit and seeing a sign on the bathroom that they don’t get much hot water. The sign says to use hot water sparingly. I made sure to get all the way in the shower before turning the water on given the warning. The warm water didn’t even last 2minutes before turning ice cold. "The area by this hotel is amazing. It was clean and nice, though on the smaller side. Hot water is limited but shouldn’t be an issue if you take quick showers. "

"My spouse and I booked the Fosshotel Hellnar as a stop on our Iceland road trip. It ended up being the perfect location to stop after 1 day travel from Reykjavik and partway around the Snaefellsnes peninsula. We were cold and tired by that point and the Fosshotel was so comfortable on our arrival. The fireplace in the lobby was very inviting.
